Watching how skillfully he played with building blocks, his parents once predicted a future career in architecture. But he chose the life of a circus artist instead. He became a double graduate of the State Circus School in Julinek. From there, he set off into the world, performing his shows in a total of 11 countries. He isn’t stopping — constantly developing his versatility as an artist. He leads workshops, creates original circus, boylesque (male burlesque), and theatrical acts, and also performs as a busker.
And how did it all begin?
“At the age of 11, I was searching for a passion and remembered how my uncle once showed me how to juggle three oranges. I bought four tennis balls, filled them with rice, and started learning (…)
I eventually reached the level of juggling five balls, all on my own.”
Recently, his style has taken on a more lyrical form. He enjoys improvising to calm, even melancholic songs. Many years of practicing contact improvisation dance inspired him to create an act we will see on stage, in which his life partner also appears.
What he values most in contemporary circus is that it is not traditional.
Just as close to him as circus is the wildness of nature. He walks barefoot, sleeps on a wooden board, and his diet consists mainly of fruit.
