Martina & Lukas

“Co čumíš? Nečum!” – “What are you staring at? Don’t stare!”
That’s their traditional greeting. Both live in Prague and both love cats. Martina rides a scooter, Lukáš rides a motorbike. She loves coffee and pistachios; he is crazy about licorice. For her, it’s important that things around her match — for him, not at all. Martina loves reading and is single. Lukáš also loves reading, but never has the time, since he isn’t single.
Both are drawn to extremes. He once wanted to be an astronaut, she a professional princess. Today, they form an acrobatic–performance duo. After sports adventures in gymnastics and handball, they met in Losers Cirque Company, founded by Lukáš, and began a collaboration that continues to this day.
They are constantly developing new skills and experimenting. Martina has explored partner acrobatics and aerial disciplines, while Lukáš trained in group acrobatics and Cyr wheel.
“In 2021, we combined our talents and created something unique — the Aerial Cyrwheel, a discipline unseen in the world before.”
Their act is an endless acrobatic dance between heaven and earth, reality and dream. They move across a circle with no beginning and no end. They dance on every part of it, challenging the laws of physics.
