Sophie & Lenni

OneTwoMany is a circus collective based in Budapest, founded in 2022 by Sophie, Lennart, and Márton. Their work combines partner acrobatics, aerial disciplines, parkour, live music, and interactive performances. Their repertoire spans a wide spectrum of artistic forms — from raw physical feats and achievements to poetic explorations of trust and connection.

Drawing on their backgrounds in architecture, dance, and cognitive science, OneTwoMany continues to evolve, driven by curiosity and the search for interdisciplinary connections. They create experimental yet entertaining shows that celebrate shared challenges, risk, play, and a love of movement.

Their main goal is to create spaces for encounters that bring people closer together — both on stage and beyond.

In the act presented here, taken from their full-length show InThisTogether, we see Sophie and Lennart. This duet explores choreographic dialogue with high-level hand-to-hand technique and dynamic partner acrobatics.

There was no one involved in circus in their immediate surroundings. They stumbled upon it by chance — in a park, and at a house party. Without formal circus education, they learned everything on their own: searching online, learning from friends, and attending workshops.

What they value most in contemporary circus is diversity of expression, virtuosity in every form, and interdisciplinarity.

“Most circus creations we love are highly personal, we value circus authorship.”

And what do they do when they rest? They don’t! They organize the MUCH circus festival, run the MORE mentoring program, and together raise their child, Natasa.
