“Two Meters Away” by Jesse Huygh and Roccia Garrote is a performance in which two acrobats, using a prop called a Chinese Pole, tell a story of two people connected by the need to help one of them.
At the age of 12, Jesse was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic lung disease that shortens the lifespan of its owner and requires the acrobat to perform with the support of an oxygen machine, carried in the form of a backpack by Roccia.
“Two Meters Away” is a deep, moving story about giving and receiving help. About humanity and our human nature.
